Veterans Day
- A public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.
- Friday November, 11
- A Brief History of Veterans Day. Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918.
- Because it is a time in which the Americans honor those who served the military who fought for our country and who died in the midst of it.
- Some examples of ways to show honor to those who served include
- Showing up
- Donating
- Flying a flag- correctly
- Asking someone about their service
- Write
- Don't confuse ti with Memorials Day
- Visit a VA Hospital
I honestly think that veterans day is a good holiday because it shows how much we care about the people who supported and gave their lives for us
