ophthalmologist
Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities: Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems.
Salary:$190,669
Education:Ophthalmologists are a type of physician, and, thus, they are required to earn a medical degree. The process is a lengthy one, with a prospective ophthalmologist having to earn a 4-year bachelor's degree, complete four years of medical school and undergo 3-8 years of internships and residencies.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I think that I would and that I wouldn't want to be an ophthalmologist because they pay really good and the job overview looks pretty interesting but the only thing that I don't like is that you have to go to school for over 8 years if you are lucky and don't mess around and get all of your stuff done. PLus I don't really like the idea of going to school for the required years that I have to go now imagine 8 more that I'm going to be like twenty something years old and I'm not going to have any extra time for what is necessary and then i probably won't even be able to see my family that often.
